RUMA is a modern, innovative space where medical aesthetics are prioritized. At RUMA, we specialize in anti-aging by providing the highest quality cosmetic and aesthetic injectables including Botox/Dysport, Filler, Kybella, Sculptra, PRP/PRF, and PDO threading. Our providers at RUMA also specialize in helping our clients achieve ultimate skin health by utilizing proper medical-grade products and integrating appropriate and evidence-based skin health procedures.

We value client relationships so your journey begins with a consultation and mutual decisions based on individual needs. Your provider will then create a customized anti-aging and skin health plan for you. At RUMA, rather than augmenting and altering your appearance, we specialize in restoring volume loss and creating a natural, refined, and refreshed look. Our medical cosmetic treatments are performed by our highly trained and experienced medical providers, nurses, and aestheticians.

RUMA Aesthetics was founded by Shelby Miller, DNP, FNP-C. Shelby entered the world of plastic surgery and medical aesthetics by working with body and facial plastic surgeons. She provided pre- and post-operative nursing care while also circulating in the operating room assisting in procedures such as facelift, blepharoplasty, necklift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, fat transfer, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, etc.

Upon beginning her injection career, Shelby instantly developed a passion for facial aesthetics and rejuvenation. She continued to develop a fundamental respect for the deeper structures of the face while observing, assisting, and circulating in the operating room during numerous facial surgical procedures.

Since then, Shelby has attended numerous trainings, conferences, and seminars in order to improve her skills as an injector and provide the highest quality, safest, results for her clients. She began sharing her knowledge with others in 2018 and has since trained hundreds of medical professionals in over 20 states across the United States. Shelby is also a National trainer for the industry leading company Galderma.

After working at 3 different Medical Spas and visiting countless others, Shelby began to realize the need for a more personalized, specialized, approach to facial aesthetics. She had a vision for a high end, modern space where facial aesthetics is prioritized and where she could seamlessly integrate regenerative medicine with facial rejuvenation. She strategically made these visions come to life and began RUMA Aesthetics in October of 2018.

THE TEAM

Shelby Ruma Aesthetics
Shelby Miller is the founder of RUMA Medical Aesthetics. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a doctorate degree from Gonzaga University. Shelby is a skilled cosmetic injector and well known in the medical aesthetic industry for producing natural, transformative results. Shelby is a national trainer and has educated hundreds of medical providers in the aesthetic community. She founded RUMA Training and conducts many private one-on-one trainings. Shelby also trains nationally for the industry-leading company Galderma. Shelby is proactive, detail-oriented, and has a positive and outgoing personality. She is continually trying to learn, grow, and improve her aesthetic skills. Shelby attends industry conferences and training as often as possible. She loves working in this industry and has a passion for helping her patients become the best form of themselves. Shelby takes pride in treating her patients with kindness, inclusivity, and respect.

Traci

Traci Andreason is a RN and experienced advanced aesthetic injector with a background in facial plastics. She offers all injectable treatments available at RUMA Medical Aesthetics using all Galderma products. She is a national trainer for injectables and enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise. Traci is passionate about enhancing each person’s natural beauty and is phenomenal at what she does. She is constantly seeking more knowledge and skills to always provide the very best treatments. She is a perfectionist and loves customizing treatment plans for each client. She is a loving wife and mother to a 4-year-old son. When she’s not working, she’s spending time outdoors, exercising and traveling. She is also working toward becoming a nurse practitioner at Chamberlain University.

Meet Chrissy Bushell

MSN, FNP-C

Chrissy is a board certified family nurse practitioner and a highly skilled aesthetic provider. She began her nursing career as a pediatric nurse at Primary Children’s Hospital then continued her education at Graceland University earning a master’s degree in 2013. Chrissy gained her certification as an aesthetic injector in 2014 from The National Institute of Medical Aesthetics (NIMA) and has been injecting for over 7 years. She currently teaches the comprehensive aesthetic injecting course at NIMA. She is a current member of The American Society for Aesthetics and makes continuing education a priority. She is married with 4 children and enjoys spending time with her family, road/mountain biking, hiking, and traveling. She is passionate about providing safe, high quality, natural-looking results for all of her clients. We are so fortunate to have Chrissy on our team!

Sara Foote

Meet Sara

Sara Foote is a Utah native and born and raised in Orem, Utah. After having her third child at 29, she recognized how much her skin had changed. Everywhere she turned for help left her without results or in worse shape. Trying to find help for her skin issues was where her desire to work in the skincare industry began! Sara went to school for medical master esthetics and has now been a practicing medical aesthetician for ten years.Sara moved to Arizona in 2012, where most of her medical aesthetics experience took place. Now she lives in Utah, and Sara’s greatest desire as an aesthetician is to help everyone achieve their healthiest and most beautiful results. Sara uses a working treatment pyramid to include the right ingredients, skincare treatments, and TIMING customized to everyone. She’s seen enormous success with this for years, and she’s beyond thrilled to be able to now revamp and improve her methods with Shelby at Ruma Aesthetics. Now results will be even more dynamic and dramatic!

Meet Aubrey

Aubrey was born and raised in South Jordan, UT, where she met her husband. Aubrey has been married for almost 3 years and she and her husband are expecting their first (non-fur) baby in August 2021! Aubrey received her Master’s License in Esthetics from the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics in 2016 and has been practicing esthetics ever since. From working with a Plastic Surgeon to working in Spa Trouve, Aubrey both practiced and trained in Esthetics. “I absolutely love what I do. I am so excited to be a part of the RUMA team where I continue to specialize in skincare treatments as well as recommending ZO Skin Health products.” The best part about what Aubrey does, in her own words, is “helping people feel beautiful and building friendships.” Aubrey never lets anyone walk out the door unsatisfied.

Meet Penny

From a young age, Penny has enjoyed helping people to feel good about themselves and be happy. Penny has more than 15 years of experience in the sales and hospitality industry. She started her career in Real Estate, helping people find their perfect home. For the last several years she has been working in the Salon and Spa industries, helping people find the best ways to pamper themselves. She believes that if her team loves what they do, then guests will also love the experience and their treatments. Penny has a knack for creating a heartfelt and genuine memory for our guests. One reason that Penny has been able to connect with guests so quickly, is that she believes in the services offered at Ruma, having seen the benefits personally. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and getting snuggles from her puppy.

Meet Morgan

Morgan grew up in the Salt Lake Valley, and she loves the beauty and versatility that Utah brings. She has over 3 years of experience in the retail and customer service field. Her main goal is to make sure everyone feels welcome from the minute they walk into RUMA; you will always be greeted with a smile and positive attitude by her. Morgan has a great energy to her and she loved being a part of the RUMA team.

Meet Ally

Ally grew up in Utah County.  She knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in the aesthetics and skin care industry.   She obtained her esthetician license in 2018 and has been working in the field ever since.  Ally is a true people person and has the innate ability to make everyone she meets feel like a million bucks!  She is also a huge animal lover and lives on a farm with horses, cows, chickens, and her Irish Setter, Darby.

Meet Savannah

Aesthetic Medical Assistant

Savannah has worked in the Medical Aesthetic industry for over 5 years with experience at various medical spas and facial plastic surgery offices. She has a passion for this industry and loves being a part of our clients’ anti-aging journeys. She is very well educated on the cosmetic procedures offered at RUMA Aesthetics and takes pride in being able to assist our providers in creating beautiful, natural results for every client.

Meet Elle

Elle has been a certified medical assistant for 7 years and has previous experience working in women’s health, dermatology and, plastic surgery. Elle’s favorite thing about working at RUMA is getting to be a part of helping others feel more confident and beautiful in their own skin. She is also a certified nutrition coach, personal trainer, and self-development junkie. In her off time, she loves to spend time with her husband, create youtube fitness videos, and eat delicious vegan food!

Meet Sydney

Sydney has experience traveling and working with a variety of people of different ages, social classes, races, and backgrounds. She has worked in the healthcare field for six years with experience in the critical care units such as; Newborn ICU, PACU, OR, and Emergency Department. Outside of working in the hospital, she volunteered in Central America for two months in different medical clinics in the rural communities of Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Sydney enjoys pushing herself out of her comfort zone and has always had an interest in the aesthetic field. Sydney is excited to gain new knowledge from the talented Ruma team.

Meet Kayla

Kayla has been an aesthetic assistant for the past two years. She loves assisting the injectors and getting to know our patients. Kayla also likes to go hiking with friends, drinking / making coffees, and listening to a good podcast.

Meet Kassidy

Kassidy grew up in Mapleton, UT, and received her B.S. in Communications from Utah Valley University in 2019. Along with her husband of 5 years, Kassidy lives with her sweet Labradoodle in Spanish Fork, UT. Kassidy specializes in Social Media Marketing, Public Relations, and Brand Management and has worked with several startups to create and maintain their communications/marketing. Aesthetics has always been one of her passions, so she has combined her skills to help us maintain the Ruma Aesthetics brand. What drives Kass’s communications passion is working with brands and companies that have an expansive vision for the future. Kassidy loves animals, chatting with friends, and watching Netflix. The best thing about working for RUMA, in Kass’s own words, is “the constant energy and vitality within the brand, and of course, the patients.”
